Grace Upon Grace is my first registration. The cheerful small bright yellow flowers on tall scapes made it an easy selection as the clear bright color kept asking for attention. It reminds me of our many blessings that are new each day. Instant rebloom gives a clump great scape density and more than 6 weeks of bloom from late June through August in zone 6a mid-Missouri. Grace upon Grace thrives with minimal care in a church garden during drought and can resemble a bush in well maintained tour gardens. Genetics go back to the small Japanese daylily species H. yezoensis. (Adam Jerald x H. yezoensis) x (H. yezoensis x Sweeter Music)

On display in the Jindra garden during the 2024 National Convention in Oklahoma City it placed second in voting for the Florida Sunshine Cup and second in the voting for the Region 11 Wilma Award for best grown clump.

The name comes from the title of a sermon I heard on John 1:16, “And from His fullness have we all received grace upon grace” (RSV).
