The miniature blooms of Glory Be Redeemed are a subtle antique pink (that is not always captured well by my past cell phones) with a small green throat. It has great scape density in a clump. It is fertile both ways.
This cultivar is the result of a cross of two Mike Huben seedlings that I grew from his generous gift of seed. It is not the inky dark pigmentation that he prefers, but it emerges with a medium purple-grey tint to the scapes that fades to announce the pastel bloom. It makes a wonderful clump and is the parent of several select seedlings. It placed third in the voting for the Region 11 Hybridizer Award at the 2024 American Daylily Society National in Oklahoma City.
Name inspiration: Galatians 3:14 He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.
