Alphagator Lady has a ruffled, pinched cream bloom with a faint band of pink on cool mornings. It sends up an average of 3 sets of rebloom scapes for me and parses out a few blooms at a time resulting in a bloom period from late May to late August here in zone 6a. Late foliage is not the best, perhaps due to having expended its energy on bloom.
It is an elegant and dependable friend in the garden named to honor the military wives of my husband’s West Point classmates. This plant is also special to me because I grew it from seeds given to me my mentor and friend Bob McConnell. Fertile both ways.
